Beauty for Ashes is the women’s ministry of Adventures in Missions. We exist to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with women through ministry and training.

We all have stories that involve personal pain & God’s intervention. But often shame keeps our stories from being told. We tend to not share the shameful, painful parts of our lives -- the most powerful parts.

Beauty for Ashes creates safe spaces for women to allow vulnerability and to encounter the hope and healing of Jesus. We desire for women to walk out of shame and into freedom through biblical stories, and testimonies, seeking the Lord’s voice and sharing their stories with their community. Our curriculum / program provides guidance for women to interact with the truth of Scripture and invite the Holy Spirit to speak into their lives.

kitchen makeover

Guatemalan women spend the majority of their time in the kitchen, preparing meals for their families. For a place where so much life is lived, it scarcely reflects that.

Kitchens are often dark and dirty, and not seen as a priority to be maintained. We’ve noticed it's often a reflection of the inner self of the women who run them. With our Beauty for Ashes teams, we’ve started incorporating kitchen makeovers. We make small changes making these once dismal places, a place of pride. Most importantly, showcasing how loved these home makers truly are.
